1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of CheckAI, including the public website at checkai.kzand the application workspace at app.checkai.kz.

By accessing or using CheckAI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service overview

CheckAI is designed to help teachers review student work with a more structured workflow.

  • Teachers can upload essays or other written assignments.
  • CheckAI can generate draft scoring, criterion-based analysis, and suggested feedback.
  • Teachers retain the ability to review, edit, approve, or reject the AI draft.
  • The service may also provide assignment, class, and review-management features.

3. Accounts and access

  • Use of the application may require an account created through email authentication or Google OAuth.
  • Each account is intended for a single user unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. AI assistance disclaimer

  • AI outputs are recommendations, not binding educational decisions.
  • The final grade, assessment, and feedback judgment remain with the teacher.
  • AI output can contain errors, especially when handwriting is unclear or source material is incomplete.
  • You should not rely exclusively on AI output without professional review when making academic decisions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use CheckAI only for lawful and appropriate educational or evaluation-related purposes.

  • Do not upload malicious, irrelevant, or prohibited materials.
  • Do not attempt to overload, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass platform protections.
  • Do not access accounts, data, or materials that you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission.

6. Ownership and data rights

  • The CheckAI platform, including its code, design, and branding, remains the property of CheckAI or its licensors.
  • Uploaded student work remains the property of the student, school, teacher, or lawful rights holder, as applicable.
  • By uploading material, you grant CheckAI a limited right to process that material solely to operate the service.
  • CheckAI does not use uploaded student work to train its own proprietary AI models.

7. Availability and liability

  • The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
  • We work to keep CheckAI reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
  • You remain responsible for how you use the service and for any final educational decisions made with its support.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckAI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use or downtime.

  • We may suspend or restrict access if these terms are violated or if misuse threatens the service.
  • You may request account deletion by contacting privacy@checkai.kz.
